With the onset of frost in Odessa, two tents were opened on Kulikovo Field — the "Point of Resilience" and the "Warming Point" for the homeless and socially vulnerable segments of the population.
With the onset of cold weather on Kulikovo Field in Odessa, near the railway station, the Christian mission "New Life" has been organizing assistance to the residents of our city for many years, especially those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
Every year, two tents are set up here.
The first tent is called "Point of Resilience."
Here, everyone can warm up, charge their mobile devices, receive advice, and feel human attention and support. The mission's volunteers are always ready to listen, offer words and deeds of support, and help as much as possible.
The second tent is called "Warming Point. Homeless Assistance Service."
During the cold season, the streets become deadly dangerous for those without a roof over their heads. Hypothermia is one of the most common causes of death among homeless people in winter. That is why warming stations are not just temporary shelters, but a real chance to survive.
Here, people can warm up, get hot tea and food, rest, and regain their strength. Even a few hours in the warmth can save lives and prevent serious health consequences.
In addition to physical assistance, everyone receives humane treatment, care, and attention — things that are so often lacking on the streets. The presence of such centers in the city is a sign of responsibility and care for the most vulnerable. These are concrete actions aimed at preserving life, dignity, and hope.
Warming centers are an opportunity to prevent deaths from cold and another step towards a safer and more humane city.
