Despite the war, we are here: the New Life mission distributed vegetable sets to over 500 families in Odessa
The war continues. Shelling, damaged infrastructure, power outages—all this has become a daily reality for the residents of Odessa. However, it is precisely at times like these that it becomes especially clear that human compassion is stronger than fear. The Christian mission New Life carried out another humanitarian campaign, distributing vegetable packages to families in the most difficult circumstances.
More than 500 families received vegetable sets as part of this campaign. Each family that applied for help received potatoes, cabbage, and carrots—essential products that, in wartime, are a real lifesaver for the family table.
The campaign was carried out despite the constant dangers and challenges posed by martial law. Volunteers and mission organizers worked with complete dedication, knowing that each set was not just food, but a sign that people were remembered and cared for.
The aid was directed primarily to those who need it most. Among the recipients are displaced persons who were forced to leave their homes in other regions of Ukraine and moved to Odesa in search of safety. The city has taken in thousands of such people, and the New Life mission has consistently supported them since the early days.
The kits were also distributed to people with disabilities, low-income families, and single mothers—those who already live in difficult conditions even without the war and now need special attention and care.
Today, Odessa is regularly subjected to rocket attacks. Damage to the city's infrastructure has led to interruptions in electricity, heating, and water supplies. Homes are cold, and everyday life has become a daily challenge.
It is in such conditions that support from the community and volunteer organizations becomes especially noticeable and important. Receiving a bag of vegetables in difficult times is not only practical help, but also a feeling that you are not alone.
The Christian mission “New Life” has been working in Odessa for many years, providing assistance to those in need. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the organization has significantly expanded its humanitarian activities: food packages, material assistance, psychological support — the mission responds to the real needs of people.
