"Saved from cold and despair: Olena's story"

The hotline of the New Life Christian Mission received an alarming call. While inspecting the area, power company workers came across a house where the roof had been destroyed by shelling and the electricity had been cut off because of debts. A 59-year-old woman, Olena Anatoliyivna, lived in these conditions with her two young granddaughters and elderly mother. One of the girls, Lolita, needs special care. Life in these conditions was dangerous and simply unacceptable for the children.

The story of this family began with a tragedy. In 2020, Olena's daughter and son-in-law died in a car accident in Crimea. Their girls were orphaned. Lolita, who was only a month old at the time, became a person with a disability. Elena Anatoliivna did not hesitate to take them under her care.

She went through a difficult journey to get the children out of the occupied Crimea. It was dangerous and difficult, but love and responsibility for her granddaughters were stronger than fear.

Despite the difficulties, their grandmother became a real support for them. Olivia is growing up to be a talented girl, she is engaged in music, choir and karate. Lolita receives the necessary care, rehabilitation and everything she needs for her development.

But trouble does not come alone. After a recent shelling, their house was heavily damaged.
Without light, without heat, in despair - Elena Anatolyevna found herself in a situation where she simply did not know how to live anymore.

After learning about this story, the New Life Mission team immediately went to help. Lolita was transported in a special vehicle because her condition required special care. Today this family is safe, they have warmth, light and support.

Olena Anatoliivna felt again that she was not alone.

This story is not just about hardships. It is about the power of love, self-sacrifice and the miracle of God's mercy. Olena proved that one can overcome anything for the sake of children.
