“SOCIAL DINING HALL” A PLACE OF SUPPORT FOR SOCIALLY VULNERABLE PEOPLE
Every week, the “Social Dining Hall” project takes place on the premises of the Christian Center “Revival”, providing support to people who are facing difficult life circumstances. Elderly people, people with low incomes, people without permanent housing, as well as those whose lives have been affected by the war, come here for help.
During the “Social Dining Hall”, people receive a full meal consisting of a first and a second course, as well as snacks. For many, this is an important opportunity to receive a hot meal and spend time in a place where they are treated with attention and respect.
The war has brought new challenges into the lives of many people. Some have lost their jobs or homes, some have been left without the support of relatives, while others struggle to provide even the basic necessities. It is especially difficult for those who were already facing challenging circumstances before the war.
That is why social projects like this remain important. They help support people when dealing with difficult circumstances on their own becomes too hard.
If a person needs first aid, it is provided.
If a wound needs to be treated, volunteers help with that as well.
If a person needs to take a shower, they can use this opportunity and take care of their personal hygiene.
When needed, volunteers also assist with medical concerns. They can provide an initial examination, help arrange a doctor’s appointment, and draw attention to health issues that require further care.
Volunteers and ministry workers are constantly present alongside the people who come for help. They talk with visitors, learn about their needs, and assist in situations where a person cannot manage on their own.
The “Social Dining Hall” continues to operate thanks to people who support this project and contribute their time, effort, and resources.
We are grateful to everyone who supports the “Social Dining Hall” project and helps with food, financial contributions, work, and their time.
Special thanks to the volunteers who serve people, prepare and distribute food, assist with everyday and medical needs, and remain alongside those who need support most.
Thank you to everyone who helps continue this ministry and remain alongside people during this difficult time for Ukraine.
