DELICIOUS PILAF BROUGHT UKRAINIANS TOGETHER ON SUNDAY
War tests Ukrainians every day. Constant air raid alerts, difficult news and ongoing tension are exhausting and draining. That is why it is so important to have a place where you can feel support, warmth and simple human communication.
Every Sunday our church gathers people for a worship service — a time of joint prayer, praise and the Word of God. People of different ages and with different backgrounds come here. For many, this meeting is an opportunity to take a break from worries for a while, to be among like-minded people and find peace of mind.
On this day, everyone prayed together for Ukraine, sang Christian songs and listened to a sermon about God's care and the hope He gives even in the most difficult times.
And after the service, a delicious hot pilaf was waiting for every guest. At the shared table there was a warm, family-like atmosphere — people talked, got to know each other, shared their stories and supported one another.
For many, this lunch was not just an opportunity to enjoy a meal, but also a chance to feel heard and needed. Live communication and sincere attention help to forget about heavy thoughts for at least a few hours and to understand — there are people nearby who care.
Such Sunday gatherings are more than a service and food. It is a space of unity, faith and mutual support, where everyone receives both food for the body and encouragement for the soul.
We thank everyone who helps organize the services and prepare the lunches. May each such meeting bring peace, hope and strength to move forward.
