A family in crisis got a chance to recover

The Children's Services Department of the Novoborisivka Village Council in the Odessa region reached out to the Christian Mission “New Life” asking for help for a large family that was going through some tough times and needed urgent support.

Olena is 36 years old and comes from the village of Tsybulivka. The children's father does not participate in their upbringing, and for a long time, all responsibility for the sons lay solely with their mother. Due to inadequate living conditions, the children were temporarily removed from the family. After an unsuccessful attempt to resolve the housing situation on her own, social services suggested that Olena contact the Mother and Child Home of the Christian Mission “New Life.” She accepted this decision as an opportunity to preserve her family and restore stability.

Today, Olena and her three sons are under the care of the mission. Dmytro is 15 years old and is in tenth grade. Bohdan is 12 years old and is in fifth grade. Marat is 10 years old and is also in fifth grade. Despite the difficulties they have experienced, the boys remain open to support and are gradually adapting to their new circumstances.

The mission has created a safe and orderly environment for the family. The family is provided with warmth, cleanliness, adequate living conditions, clothing, and food. In addition to material assistance, the family receives psychological support and social assistance aimed at restoring stable family life and creating responsible conditions for the further upbringing of children.

Our task is not only to provide temporary shelter, but also to help the mother gradually regain her independence, create a safe environment for her sons, and preserve the integrity of the family.
