FOOD PACKAGES SUPPORT FOR UKRAINIAN FAMILIES DURING THE WAR

The war has changed the life of every Ukrainian family. Loss of home and work, forced relocation into the unknown and the daily struggle for the most essential things have become the reality in which thousands of people live today. At this time the New Life Christian Mission continues to stand daily by those who need support the most.

For many Ukrainians food packages have become an opportunity to hold on for another day, week and month. Rising prices, loss of stable income and the consequences of forced displacement are felt most acutely by the most vulnerable groups.

Every day people in difficult life circumstances turn to the Mission for help. Among them are large families, people with disabilities, lonely elderly people, internally displaced families, as well as those who have lost their jobs or were forced to leave their homes and move from dangerous regions.

Thanks to friends and partners from the USA, in particular Samaritan's Purse, the Mission has been able to provide this assistance continuously throughout the full scale war. This partnership has continued since 2022 and even earlier and has already made it possible to deliver about 230,000 family food packages to families across southern Ukraine.

Every day the team of volunteers of the New Life Christian Mission forms long term storage food packages and delivers them to those who need care the most today. Each package contains basic food products that help families provide themselves with the most necessary things in this difficult time.

For some this package is first of all food on the table. For others it is a sign that they are remembered and that they are not left alone with the consequences of war. Living attention, a sincere word and a willingness to help often mean no less than the assistance itself.

Each distribution is a meeting with people, with their stories and with hope for recovery. And each such meeting is a reminder of how important timely support is.
