Taisiya is a new mother at the Mother and Child Home of the New Life Christian Mission.

She is only 21 years old. She is very young. But in her eyes, there is a depth of experience that is usually carried by women who have experienced too much in their lives. Behind this age is a story of pain, devaluation, and loneliness. And at the same time - incredible inner strength.

Taisiia comes from the Izmail district, from a large family. She spent her childhood without warmth and maternal care. According to the girl, she did not know what a hug before bedtime, words of support, or a simple "I'm with you" meant. Her relationship with her mother was complicated and distant. And like many children who have not experienced love, she began to look for it in her adult life, often in the wrong places.

At the age of 18, Taisiia became pregnant. Her boyfriend abused alcohol, but she hoped that with the birth of the child everything would change. She endured, believed, and kept silent. The couple moved to Odesa and rented an apartment. But their hopes were dashed by reality - humiliation, quarrels, beatings... It was becoming unbearable. But where to go?

And then, in the darkest moment, when it seemed that there was no way out, the light appeared. Taisiya remembered a friend who had once mentioned the New Life Christian Mission. She found the hotline number on the Internet and dialed it - with fear, a trembling voice, but with hope.

The very next day she was in a safe place - the Mother and Child House. Here she was accepted, listened to, and hugged. Here she is no longer afraid. For the first time in many years, she sleeps peacefully again. Her child is by her side. She is surrounded by people who believe in her.

We cannot change her past. But we can be there for her future.Taisiya received psychological, spiritual and practical support. She is now building a new identity as a strong woman and a caring mother.
