It’s finally happening. What we’ve dreamed of for so long and worked so hard to achieve is becoming a reality: construction of the first floor of a shelter for elderly homeless people and people with disabilities has begun.
This isn’t just another stage of construction. It’s the first step toward helping those who have long needed assistance. A step toward finally giving dozens of people a real home.
Neither rain nor wind will stop construction
Despite challenging weather conditions and prolonged rains, our builders haven’t stopped for a single day. Work continues without interruption—because we know that dozens of people are waiting for this home. Every day of delay is another day when someone is left without a roof over their head. The team works with complete dedication, regardless of any obstacles. Wet ground beneath our feet, unrelenting rain—none of this could stop those who are building a future for the most vulnerable. Because when you work for the sake of people, you simply have no right to stop.
More than just walls
Every day, there are people without a roof over their heads right beside us. The elderly, the lonely, those with disabilities. Those whom circumstances, illness, or the loss of loved ones have left on the streets. We see them and cannot remain indifferent.
The walls being built today are not just bricks and concrete. They are hope. They are a future for those who have almost stopped believing that one exists.
At the shelter, everyone will find safe housing, regular meals, professional care, and, most importantly, attention and love. We are convinced that every person deserves respect and a dignified life, regardless of the circumstances that brought them here. People do not come here feeling ashamed—they come here to start over.
