Hope Amid War: Humanitarian Aid for Families in Odesa
The Christian mission “New Life,” in partnership with Vitaliy and Natalia Smolin’s “Open Door,” continues to support the residents of Odesa and people affected by the full-scale war in Ukraine.
Today, the war has changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians. For many families, things that once seemed simple and accessible have become essential necessities. Constant missile attacks, job losses, forced displacement, rising prices, and daily uncertainty have deeply affected people, especially the most vulnerable.
Thanks to the support of friends and partners from the Netherlands, we were able to organize a humanitarian distribution of potatoes for internally displaced persons, large families, people with disabilities, low-income families, and those who lost their homes because of the war.
Potatoes are a simple but extremely important product for Ukrainian families. Many meals can be prepared from them, and for many people they remain one of the most important foods after bread. That is why this kind of assistance is so meaningful for families going through difficult times.
During the distribution, people came not only for food. They came carrying pain, anxiety, and exhaustion brought by the war. Among the recipients were mothers with children, elderly people living alone, displaced families, and people who had lost nearly everything. For many of them, this support became a reminder that they are not alone.
We sincerely thank all partners, volunteers, and friends of the mission who continue to support the people of Ukraine during this difficult time. Thanks to your help, thousands of people receive not only food, but also hope and encouragement.
The Christian mission “New Life” will continue doing everything possible to support people facing difficult life circumstances.
Together we are strong.
Together we help.
Together — to victory.
