A leap of faith: construction begins on a new shelter for the elderly and people with disabilities

On this day, an important and solemn event took place for the mission—the construction of a new shelter for the elderly and people with disabilities began.

For over 15 years, the mission has been serving people who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, providing support, care, and hope. The new project is a continuation of this ministry, which is designed to give love, dignity, and security to every person.

Currently, more than 60 people live in the shelter, but the existing premises no longer meet the growing needs of the residents. That is why the dream of a new, modern, and comfortable home has become a common goal for the entire team.

The planned specialized shelter will have 310 places, 60 of which will be for palliative care. The new home will be equipped with everything necessary for the comfortable and dignified living of elderly people and those who need special care. It will become a space of love, care, and support for many Ukrainians.

Today, the first step toward realizing this dream has been taken—the team of ministers laid the first stone in the foundation of the future house of mercy, anointed it with oil, and offered a prayer, entrusting the entire process to God's hands.

We believe that with God's help, this home will be built, and each of its residents will feel warmth, safety, and true love.

We sincerely thank all our partners, friends, benefactors, and builders for their support, unity, and contribution to this good beginning. Together, we are building a home filled with hope, mercy, and life.
