TWO YEARS OF CHANGE: THE STORY OF VALENTYNA AND HER DAUGHTERS
In 2024, Valentyna arrived at the Mother and Child Home of the Christian Mission "New Life" together with her two daughters, Lidiia and Kamila.
At that time, the family was facing difficult life circumstances. Valentyna and her children were living in a house that did not meet basic safety and living standards for children. Due to ongoing family difficulties and inadequate care, social services became involved. Frequent absences of the older daughter from school also raised concerns.
Valentyna was born and raised in Tsebrykove, Odesa Region. After finishing school, she trained as a cook. In 2012, her first daughter, Lidiia, was born, followed later by Kamila. Over the years, various challenges accumulated and eventually led to a crisis that put both the children's future and the family's stability at risk.
When Valentyna learned that she could potentially lose her parental rights, she made the decision to change her life. She agreed to move to the Mother and Child Home, where she and her daughters received a safe place to live, support, and an opportunity to start a new chapter.
Today, two years later, the results are clearly visible.
Valentyna has become an active member of the ministry at the Mother and Child Home. She assists in the daily work of the project and supports other women facing difficult circumstances. She has stabilized her life and created a safe environment for her daughters' development.
Significant changes have also taken place in the lives of the girls. Lidiia is successfully attending school, while Kamila completed first grade this year. Both girls now have stable living conditions, access to education, proper care, and opportunities for healthy development.
Valentyna’s story demonstrates how timely support can help preserve a family. What was a crisis situation in 2024became, by 2026, an example of restoration, responsibility, and positive change.
It is for outcomes like these that the Mother and Child Home continues its work, helping women with children overcome difficult circumstances and build a new future.
