CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHELTER FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: A NEW STAGE OF WORK BRINGS THE PROJECT CLOSER TO COMPLETION

The Christian Mission "New Life" continues the construction of a new shelter for elderly people and people with disabilities. Despite the challenges of wartime, construction work continues without interruption. Week by week, this large-scale social project is taking on a more complete shape, and the new phase of work marks another important step toward its completion.

Over the past period, significant progress has been made at the construction site. After completing the main stage of building the first-floor walls, the construction team has moved on to the installation of formwork and the preparation of the reinforced concrete floor slab between levels. Load-bearing structures have been installed, temporary support systems have been assembled, and reinforcement work is underway in preparation for the next concrete pouring phase.

The photographs clearly demonstrate how quickly the future shelter is taking shape. The layout of residential rooms, spacious corridors, service areas, and common spaces is already visible. Step by step, the building is transforming from architectural drawings into a real facility that will one day become a home for hundreds of people.

The construction process is continuously supervised by engineers, designers, and representatives of the Christian Mission "New Life." Regular on-site meetings help ensure high construction quality, compliance with the approved project documentation, and the timely completion of every stage of the project.

The new complex will be able to accommodate 310 residents at the same time. Of these, 60 beds will be dedicated to a specialized palliative care unit for seriously ill people requiring continuous medical care. The shelter will provide a safe home for elderly people, people with disabilities, and those who have lost their homes or family support due to war or difficult life circumstances.

For many people, this shelter will become much more than a place to live. It will be a place where they receive care, safety, medical assistance, daily support, and the dignity every person deserves. This is why the Christian Mission "New Life" continues implementing one of its largest social projects despite the ongoing war.

We sincerely thank all our friends, donors, and international partners who support the construction of the new Shelter. Thanks to your trust and generosity, this large-scale project continues to move forward, bringing us closer to the day when 310 people will have a safe home, professional care, and hope for a dignified future.
