Mother and Child Home — Where No Child Is a Stranger
In difficult times, the first thing a child may lose is a sense of stability, security, and a normal childhood. When a mother finds herself in crisis, the child often becomes a victim of circumstances—deprived not only of comfort but also of the very right to grow up properly. That is why the Mother and Child Home of the Christian Mission "New Life" is not just a temporary shelter. It is a space where childhood does not stop, but continues to live, breathe, and develop.
Here, children are not just cared for—we work with them. Every day, systematically, with an understanding that every age requires its own approach.
From the youngest toddlers to teenagers—every child receives attention, care, and support for their development. The little ones are introduced to the world of knowledge: they learn letters, numbers, colors, and shapes; they learn to hold a pencil and try to write their first letters. There is a kindergarten on the premises, where experienced teachers don't just spend time with the children but purposefully prepare them for school, laying the foundation without which further development is impossible.
Schoolchildren are also not left without supervision and support. They are taken to school and picked up, helped with homework, and closely monitored in their studies. Teachers are familiar with this home, trust it, and maintain constant communication—after all, they see that the children are not falling behind in their studies. Here, responsibility isn't shifted—it is taken on.
Special attention is paid to the children's health. If necessary, comprehensive medical care is organized: doctors specializing in specific illnesses or injuries are selected, visits are coordinated, and the examination and treatment process is monitored.
Children are not left to face their problems alone—they are guided toward a positive outcome, receiving the necessary assistance and support at every stage.
A child's development is not just about textbooks and workbooks. It is about movement, emotions, communication, and the feeling of a full life. That is why the Home has created all the conditions necessary for children to live truly.
The playground is a place where moms spend time with their little ones, where laughter rings out and the most precious feeling is formed—the feeling of safety. The sports field is a space where teenagers play soccer, basketball, and volleyball, releasing energy and learning to work as a team. Nearby is a lake—in the summer, children swim under adult supervision, and teenagers can fish, spending time in the great outdoors rather than in front of screens. For the youngest children, a safe area with a pool has been set up.
Life doesn't stop in winter either. Children go for walks, breathe fresh air, stay active, and learn to find joy in simple things no matter the season. After all, the most important thing is not to keep a child cooped up indoors, but to give them the experience of a normal, vibrant childhood.
Creative development plays a distinct and extremely important role. Children dance—developing coordination, learning to feel their bodies, and moving with confidence. They participate in performances, recite poems, step out in front of an audience, and gradually overcome their inner fears.
Children also immerse themselves in the world of music—they become familiar with rhythm and sound, learn to listen, and express themselves through melody. This shapes not only skills—it builds the child's inner world.
Trips to the beach, visits to swimming pools, excursions, and festive events—all of this is an integral part of life that restores a sense of joy and normalcy to the children. They are not isolated from the world—they learn to live in it, feel it, and be a part of it.
All this work is based on a simple yet unwavering belief: there are no strangers' children.
Here, every child is treated as our own. Not just for show or "for the report," but genuinely—with responsibility, attention, and a sincere desire to give them a future.
That is precisely why the Mother and Child Home is not just about providing aid. It is a place where a child is given a second chance—to grow, develop, and become a person, regardless of the circumstances in which they find themselves.
