FOOD ASSISTANCE FROM SAMARITAN’S PURSE FOR UKRAINIAN FAMILIES DURING THE WAR
The war in Ukraine continues. In Odesa and the Odesa region, air raid sirens and explosions are heard regularly, while people continue to live under constant danger and uncertainty. Due to job losses, rising prices, damaged homes, and other consequences of the war, more and more families are forced to seek humanitarian assistance.
The situation is especially difficult for elderly people, persons with disabilities, large families, internally displaced people, and those facing difficult life circumstances. For many of them, purchasing even the most essential food has become a serious challenge.
Today, the Christian Mission “New Life” distributed food bags to residents of Odesa and the Odesa region. People received packages containing essential food products needed by every family in everyday life.
This assistance is more than just food. For many people, it is a source of support, hope, and reassurance that they have not been left alone with their difficulties. Each food bag helps a family save money for medicines, utility bills, and other vital needs.
During the distribution, mission volunteers helped people receive their food packages, spoke with them, and supported those who are currently in particular need of attention and care.
We sincerely thank our partner from the United States, Samaritan’s Purse, for its continued support of Ukrainians during this difficult time. Thanks to this partnership, the mission is able to provide food assistance to people living in Odesa and the Odesa region.
While the war continues to destroy the normal lives of Ukrainian families, we continue serving people and helping those in need. Thanks to the support of our partners, volunteers, and caring individuals, essential assistance reaches those who need it most.
