Helping government agencies is money down the drain!
There are a lot of questions. The fact is that thanks to the efforts of volunteers and residents of the city of Odesa, a ward intended for homeless people was well renovated at the Jewish Hospital. And here's the result: it was dismantled before the onset of winter, just when the need arose.
Yes, they are making repairs and yes, there will be another better ward. But why didn't anyone tell any of the volunteers? How long did they expect to ignore us? Who will return the effort, time, medical equipment and money invested in opening the department for homeless people? It is strange. But work with the homeless cannot stop. We need to find a solution. Where to take people? Who will help them and where? How can we help people in need in Ukraine when the structures do not care about this problem? For them, it is more important to replace some plastic windows with others, which are exactly the same as previous to pocket some more state money.
The most important thing is that the Jewish Hospital was strategically important for us. And it's sad that the funds raised for repairs were simply thrown away, literally, to the wind. We are grateful that the hospital was not demolished and the land was not squeezed...
