International Children's Day in Ukraine during the war.

On June 1, 2024, the Odesa Zoo opened its doors to the children of our city, giving them an unforgettable holiday in honor of the International Children's Day. This event was made possible through the joint efforts of the New Life Christian Mission and the Chaplaincy Patrol of Odesa.

More than 1500 children received gifts and enjoyed the beginning of the summer season. International friends and partners from America, Germany and the Netherlands provided tasty treats: candy, drinks, French fries, nuggets and cotton candy. The zoo's animals delighted children of all ages, giving them positive emotions.

Throughout the day, children participated in contests, rode carousels and made new friends. Special attention was paid to the kids from the Mother and Child Home project of the New Life Christian Mission, who shared their unforgettable impressions.

The organizers of the holiday, including volunteers, chaplains, juvenile police, zoo staff and many city organizations, under the leadership of the mayor of Odesa, made this day special for the children, despite the difficult times of war. 

This holiday brought joy and hope to the children, proving that even in the most difficult moments it is possible to create bright and happy memories.
